It is with regret we announce to the SWUG fraternity and wider print community that Dan Blackbourn has resigned from his position as SWUG NZ Chairman and has left the print industry all together after deciding to accept a senior position in the glazing industry.
During his 40 year tenure in the printing trade and as chairman of SWUG NZ Dan was instrumental at championing our industry in many ways, anything from promoting Apprenticeships to recognizing print quality by way of the SWUG quality awards (and also the Pride IN Print Awards).
Dan was also a champion of those who work tirelessly in the community and actively supported The Hospice, Cancer Foundation and several other notable causes such as Billy Graham’s Boxing Academy.
I am sure you will join in in thanking Dan for all his efforts and work heralding the art of putting ink on paper and wishing him all the very best for the future.
